CofC #13

Linda's wonderful weekly challenge working through Tim Holtz's A Compendium of Curiosities has us making Grungepaper Flowers this week. These are wonderful things to do and Grunge is so pliable previously I have coloured the grunge but this time I had some flowers lying around so cut papers and stuck them on. The petals were rolled and shaped and then given some added colour with DI and Distress stickles. A while ago I spread some Gallary Glass to dry on acetate punched some of this out for flower centres and a blue circle. Flowers also punched on the reverse of the scraps from the paper used to line the grunge, these have been stamped with G from Stampbugs fabulous alphabet. Another of my favorite things to do is what I call altered glue, strips and swirls of pva glue on a plastic sandwich bag covered with ep and left to dry (it takes days). When the glue is dry melt the ep and when it is cool you can peel it of the remains of the plastic, its usually best to make this in batches and store ready for when you want to use it. The base for all these random G things is a 4" x 6" corragated card with the corragations exposed.

You guess it this is my G post card for Lots to do revisited alphabet book postcard swap that Andrea is hosting.

G is for
Grungepaper
Glue
Glitter
Gallary Glass
Gold

  16. I love this piece, Zoe. I love all the texture:) It reminds me of when I opened my grandmothers jewelry box as a child. She had many floral pins and gold jewelry mixed together. I'll have to give something like this a try:)

    Thanks for sharing!
