Just for Fun - Try it out Mixed Media

3rd of March, can you believe it another year is already rapidly flying.   We had a great first month at Just for Fun, meeting some lovely ladies who are new to blogland as well as some friends we have know for a while.

We have some exciting news to share with you as well.    The wonderfully talanted Neet has agreed to join the DT starting this week.   To say we are thrilled would be an understatement.   If you have not seen her work before you are in for a treat.   Welcome to the team Neet.

This month the theme's are mine and I'm hoping to encourage people to try something new and or a bit different.    This the first week the prompt is to make a mixed media piece.   OK we paper crafters could be said to be mixed media artists already but the idea this week is for you to get different paints inks and media out and see how you can mix it up.

This canvas was painted with my cheap watery acrylic paints, typically they thickened up for this! and then sprayed with GM.    A Tattered Angels mask laid over and Inca Gold sponged over that.    FP used to mould the fish (Mould from the cake decorators) and the freestyle piece at the bottom.   Viva Ferro paste and Viva Cracko along the bottom.   Some wire swirles and pearls, a wire shape with FB beads on some of the spokes, single chain crochet and a few shells complete the aquarium scene.

Hope you'll have some fun and mix it up with us at Just for Fun this week.
