So excited this morning! Julia sent me some of the new Andy Skinner stamps to have a little play with. the dust sucky thing was abandoned and the inks came out. This Butterfly is from the Batik Garden set, so it had to be a faux Batik technique to start with.
Butterfly stamped and embossed in clear, Brilliance inks tapped over in a sort of flower design. When you rub over the embossing the beautiful pattern on the wings is reveled.
Certainly did not want to stop there! While having a little blog hop yesterday came across a new to me challenge OLW no idea what that stands for but that is not going to stop me joining in LOL
OLW want us to make 3 of a kind specifically to make three one layer cards using the same stamp but in different colours and styles to make three different cards. Colour stamp placing embossed or not all of these make a difference to the mood and feel of a card.
This time I used the same butterfly stamp in SU Celery Green and stamped it three times on and slightly off the card. I have chosen a very small sentiment in a contrasting colour as an accent.
The third card embossed in Copper has I think a more masculine feel to it. The block sentiment and metallic colour embossing seem to stronger bolder and more planted on the card.
Why are they all thank you cards? Well one layer cards are by definition CAS cards and that can only mean Less is More who are thinking of either Thank you or Congratulations cards.
Best get back to the chores now.
lovely set of cards - like the colours on the 1st one.
ReplyDeleteThey all stunning cards, but the first is my Favourite.
