Just been mucking around with Red and Orange its been so warm recently these sizzling colours reflect it. They are also this weeks colours at Play Date Cafe a challenge I keep meaning to enter but have never actually got around to until now. They have the right colour choice and that gave me the motivation to play.
Using Andy Skinner's Batik Garden set and DI Barn Door and Spiced Marmalade inked the Bird in red stamped and masked it. The Batik background stamped over it in Orange. The bubbles are a small stamp from Liz Welch's workshop, the words are from my custom stamps from Tanda. The bird has been coloured with Whisper pens.
Still playing with the same stamps and inks inked bird and background up again then touched the bird to the background and then stamped the card. Re-inked the bird in red stamped, masked it and then stamped the background again. The bird has been coloured this time with Aged Mahogany.
The more I play with these stamps the more things I can see to do with them oh if only there were more hours in the day LOL
I am also entering these in:
Diva's by Design - Anything goes their first challenge
Scrappy Frogs - Anything goes
Emerald Faerie Garden - Anything goes
Crazy Challenge - Anything goes
Play Paper - Show us your style Well its messy and inky Guess thats me LOL

Hi Zoe. As always these days, I'm playing catch up but having browsed your recent cards, there are some stunners.
ReplyDeleteI love the white on white with the dreamweaver stencil. Wow, that is amazing and Janet will be delighted with all your poppy cards. I need to get moving and get more made although as the concert isn't until October I have a bit of time I think! There are never enough hours in the day for me!! Maybe that's just being disorganised!!
Hope all is good with you.
hugs Lisax
