Well you didn't think I just made those two cards yesterday did you?
A while back C&C had some nested boxes on sale three boxes one inside the other, all with canvas board in the lid. Intended for Children perfect toys for us messy types. The Canvas top was given a wash of Weathered Wood Stain and then stamped with Tanda Flourishes in black Archival. The new La Plume Solvent based pens used to go over the back ground again and colour in the flowers and butterfly. This then is the Canvas element for Alter it Monthly.
The wooden box was stamped from the same set and then coloured with wax crayons. Helen Chilton wrote an absorbing piece on using wax crayons in June's Craft Stamper. It is only the second time that an article has fired me up like this one has, have made one or two other things using the technique but they are for future challenges.
Not content with stamping, painting and waxing once the canvas had been glued to the top of the box, some of the wonderful blue/green lace was attached around the top. Some glue altered with AI stuck over it, paper flowers sprayed with various shades of red Cosmic Shimmer and Glimmer Mists. Still seemed to need something so a butterfly was stamped onto vellum with Brilliance inks.
So that is the smallest box two larger ones to go.
