This week is the last of our July material based themes at Just for Fun. Amazingly it is also Week 26 when did that happen! To all of you who joined us last week with Metal thank you such talented and fun people join us and we love you for it.
This week the prompt is Fabric and Fiber. Now this month yours truly has been setting the challenges and as you might know she does not sew or knit or do anything with fabric and fiber so what was I thinking of!
This is the third canvas in a set and is intended to suggest the party. Distress stain over the canvas, which was then stamped with Venice masquerade themed stamps. A matching stencil has Dream Weaver embossing paste spread through it and the canvas between the paste coloured with Cosmic Shimmer drawing inks. Some fibers have been spiraled over a card disc, others have been wrapped round punched out flower shapes the lose ends stuck over the canvas as the light and movement and fizz of the party.
Here are the three canvasses from this and the previous three themes.
Fortunately Von, Sam and Neet are all much more skilled with fabric and fiber so please do check the challenge site and their work. If you have any project in mind to share with us we would love to see it.
