Earlier this year I started joining in again at UK Stampers Forum along side lots of helpful friendly helpful chat there are swaps. Swaps are great fun both in making something to match the theme and for seeing others work and learning their techniques. One of the monthly swaps is post cards.
It just happens that this month (July) Unruly Paper Arts is all about postcards as well, and yes later in the month my column makes an appearance showing the making of this card.

It is also my sample for the RAQ looking for your holiday themed post cards.
Here are some of the other postcards I've made and swapped recently.
April, theme Yellow and Circles.
this one used lots and layers of different yellow paint mediums. Red circles in Promarkers yellow circles distress paint.
May, theme do your own thing.
The background of this card is kitchen paper towel used to clean up my Gelli pad between prints.
June, theme Hats
The stark contrast here of the white ink/ep against the dark background is similar to white on black which I love but using maroon makes it possible to write on the back.
July, another anything goes theme not sure yet what my post card will be for that. The thing is with a 4" x 6" format you can do just about anything you would on a folded card but without layers they can go naked into the post.
Very excited to read this morning that Fashionable Stamping have a new theme for the next fortnight of Mail Art. Sweet Stampin' have a, to me, irresistible theme of Not Cute! If you are going away for your holiday's this summer, or if you are 'down under' perhaps a winter break? Why not take a few blank cards and tools with you, you could make and send your own holiday themed postcards.
All fabulous, Zoe! I particularly like the first one - in the holiday spirit and made me smile!
