A long way from my comfort zone

Colour wise at any rate, this just seems so very pink!

Two challenges set this in motion when casting around for something to do.   Allsorts, Lavender and Lace I can only hope that  my additional colours are permitted.   The other challenge Playdate Cafe has already closed.

The base is a Plywood plaque which was given a coat of white gesso as a starting point.   A piece of an old music score attached and then Distress Acrylic paint brushed over the top, followed by more paler pinks and some white.   The mask stencil laid over this, embossing Paste mixed with Lavender shade Perfect Pearls then pushed through the stencil.    Kaiser Craft stamps used top and bottom with deeper purple ep, more of this ep sprinked over the wet paste.    Butterflies stamped onto Lavender coloured card and again heat embossed with the purple powder, these were carefully cut out, swirls die cut in green card and white paper flowers coloured with Lilac and Lavender inks.   Before adding these embellishments some cream lace attached top and bottom of the plaque, then everything else glued into place.    More of the lace threaded through on of the pre-drilled hanging holes and tied in a bow.

As someone who tends to greens and cool colours this is so outlandish but it's growing on me.

Through the Craft-Room Door - is always an Anything Goes Challenge
C is for Challenge - A new challenge whose first theme is FLOWERS
House of Gilli - Bright Colours
Imagination-Crafts - another new challenge with the theme Anything Goes
The Crazy Challenge - Anything but a Card

Two more days at work and then I have two lovely weeks off, craft retreat this week-end and plans to explore more of the area.
