Something to share at last

The kitchen is finished, and has seen action no shortages of lunches for next week at work!  The joy of having a dishwasher again getting pots dirty is so much less frightening.

The studio has been restored but the muse is taking her own sweet time joining me there.   Not for lack of ideas or inspiration just that little spark needs encouraging.   A couple of challenges popped out at me today resulting in the card here.

Just us Girls have a technique challenge where you are to use the Grid Technique.    Rogue Redhead Designs challenge is to use Autumn Colours.

The colours of this time of year are so rich natures final show before she sheds her cloths for winter, all those fallen leaves make jolly good mulch as well.    Colours then bronze, copper, reds, oranges, greens and yellows.   The Grid Technique check out this tutorial the Just us Girls team have shared on their site, don't you just love how people around the world share techniques like this?

So those are the ingredients what to do with them.    Pulled out lots of DP in various autumnal shades and finally settled on just the one with a flora design.   The base card is 8"x8" folded and coloured with Adirondack dye based inks and ink dusters, the seed heads are from one Rogue Redhead stamp in Copper.    The topper having decided to use RRH's love birds (this time in Bronze) I cut a piece of yellow card, embossed it with the grid and then placed the open birdcage mask over it.   Green ink blended over it before the birds were stamped, the image was then coloured with Whisper Pens in shades of browns and oranges.

Nice to get inky this afternoon, its no fun out of doors.
