For no better reason than wanting to

Really enjoyed last week off work and as you have seen had a lot of fun getting inky and messy.   On Sunday a journal I made a while ago came out, this is the second project I've worked on in this journal.   It was a lot of fun and then having worked on it on Sunday I left it thinking to add one or two embellishments later, looking at it again today I've decided those embellishments are not required.

This page is part folded over giving that little bit extra to work on and adding a little more dimension and movement to the project.   First my one and only Dylusion mask came out and Glitzcraft paste pushed through.   Once the paste had dried and yet again using those ink dusters colour was worked over the page shades of green going up and blue coming down.  In the middle a 'Special Touch' mask was used and a warm red dusted through.   Different colours were used on the flap but the method used was the same.    Stampin' Up stamps used from at least 3 different sets stamping in Green, Brown, Blue, Purple & Gray.   2 Card Craft Mannequin tags up next, the smaller one on the flat has simply been covered with brightly coloured Washi Tape.   The larger one stamped with swirls (Artemio) and decorated with shabby EP.   Using a quickie glue pen which dries tacky, some adhesive was scribbled onto the page and more shabby EP applied.   White Distress stain rubbed around the edge of the larger mannequin, the 2 mannequins were then stuck to the page.    The final element is the black hand cut feather that once it was cut was stamped with Snowcap and a piece of wire stuck to it's inside spine, this wire allows the feather to be moved and twisted.

This is how the page appears with the flap open.   A very deliberate playing with the space cutting the clock image off at the crease, while continuing the masked work and colouring.
