Summer Days in the Craft Room

Indulged in a little old school card making yesterday.   An old wood mounted rubber stamp used with Memento brown ink, coloured with Promarkers and Chameleon Pens.  Cut the image out, fancy cut style no dies just scissors and a careful steady hand.  Did not colour all the image just those parts that needed it.    Then took a folded card, and a brand new polymer Stamping' up stamp (it is intended as leafy top of a tree) and stamped that twice with Adirondack ink to give a little background design.   Sticky pads attach the cut out image to the card.

It could have a greeting but I prefer not, once you put a greeting on a card you limit it's uses.   Right now it can be what ever I want it to be,

  1. Gorgeous Zoe - and I still prefer cutting out images by hand the good old-fashioned way too. Apart from the fact that you have more say in the matter - you can leave a white border if you want one, or cut off an offending leaf that doesn't fit your design - I just KNOW I'd be so rubbish at marrying up the stamping with the die that it would take me several attempts to do each and end up taking longer than cutting by hand!

  4. Hi Zoe, this is a beautiful card.
This post is much easier to read although yesterday's is still problematical. On my screen it's the links to other blogs/web sites that show up as green and the background shows up as blue.
