Just having fun

I'm popping out this afternoon to catch up with friends.  They adopted a Brittany Spaniel a few of weeks ago, Cora fitted in so quickly it was like she had never lived anywhere else.  Their Hound had lost his brother a little while before and everyone realised he needed company however he is about 10 while Cora is only 2.  So good company for each other but Cora would benefit from a younger playmate.   Yesterday Bungle arrived, they are just fostering him for now but everyone is hoping it will be a failed fostering and another adoption.

It seems these Spaniels are wonderful family dogs being friendly and gentle.  You can learn about them at Save our Spaniels.  I'll see if I can get any photos to share later today.

In the mean time here is downtown Grimsby yesterday it poured down.   So I made cards and things with a Sun stamp.   Another PSX I believe from around 1996, it came to me second hand how can anyone bear to part with their stamps especially rubber stamps?  Not that I mind 'cause they get to come here!

Yea it's time for Twofers and their theme this month is Sun and/or Moon.  Couldn't incorporate them both into two projects the ideas just did not flow.  But these two well they just had to be.

This is Lincolnshire and our wolds are green and pastural.   Here the sun is just rising above the rolling hills.

So I'm sharing this with:

Watercooler Wednesday - #285 Anything goes with a masculine twist.

Sisterhood of Crafters - Masculine

Retro Rubber - #141 Anything Goes must use stamp(s) more than 1 year old.  Think my Sun qualifies hahaha

Stamping Sensations - Make it Masculine

It might have been mentioned that I like to be near the sea, living in hopes of days like this.   The sun bather is from a magazine set a couple of years ago, at least I think it was a couple of years ago.  Pink and Green were chosen for her accessories simply because the two colours look great together.

I wanted a beach/sea scene for these challenges:

Allsorts - #585/6 Summer Fun

Make My Monday - #129 On the Beach

Country View Challenges - I do like to be beside the Seaside

Time Out - #168 Inspiration picture

OK time to get a move on.  Stay Safe, Keep Well, Wear the mask thing, HAVE FUN

  10. You have made two stunning canvases on paper with your Twofer, Zoe! Each scene is dynamic and spectacular! I love that sunbather stamp! It is perfect placed under that giant golden sun, but I sure hope the young lady put her sunscreen on, lol! And, sigh, what a calming pastoral scene you created for your second design with the sun breaking the dawn above the gently rolling hills. That tree is amazing! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #30! Keep Well! Hugs, Darnell

  12. Saw these over at Retro Rubber where your tree card was a top pick. I was admiring the soft misty effect and had to come and tell you how much I loved it. Where is that tree from? It's gorgeous! You've made the beach scene look very special with that amazing sun too! Vicky x

  13. This is a great Twofer pair, Zoe. I'm in awe of the Lincolnshire scene. That sun behind the hills looks amazing, and that tree!, oh that tree! The shading and coloring you've done here is really lovely. Beautiful, calm, and serene. I live on the western shores of Lake Michigan, and we have such pretty beaches nearby. Even though our lake levels are rising, it's still a joy to walk to the bluffs overlooking the cool waters. Your card evokes those lovely scenes in my mind. In fact, your beach-goer reminds me of my granddaughter, Jessie! Such a summery card, and that sun looks perfect here. Great cards! Thank you so much for joining us at Twofer Challenge. Bev
