Counting Sheep

One of the lovely things about being retired is going to bed when you want and getting up when you want, the clock no longer runs your life.   There was a time when the clock very much ran my life and when work would crowd my thoughts.  We live in a world where performance pressure is our greatest stress, we live in a money driven world, where a job well done is rewarded by the expectation of greater improvement.

The pressures of modern life, a way of life un-natural to our evolution, mean we suffer more and more internal and mental problems.   One of these is sleep and getting to sleep a busy mind can actually impede our ability to drift off.   As a child I was told to count sheep! as far as I can recall this technique only worked once.

The stamp is from a company called Inca Stamp "Leaping Sheep Border."   The numbers are are from Creative Cafe and the packaging is dated 2007.  I cannot tell you how old the sheep stamp is but I do remember using it in one of the early Less is More Challenges so more than a year old!

Stamps inked and placed the sheep, flowers and inside the numbers are coloured with the 3 Primary Colours and the 3 Secondary ones.  Red, Purple, Blue, Green, Yellow and Orange.   The Zs were hand written Z being a letter I am very familiar with.

The Challenges:

Crazy 4 Challenges - #554 Slimline cards

CAS on Friday - #189 Numbers

Retro Rubber - #144 Anything goes with a stamp more than one year old.   A lovely person commented on my earlier entry to this challenge telling me how she liked my shabby chic wall hanging but it is not in a style she works, I thought she might enjoy something in a very different style.

Paper Minutes - #660 Colours of the rainbow
