Autumnal Abundance

One reason this season is so popular with challenges and crafters is the vast array of colours and elements that all refer to Autumn.  Spring is beautiful with all the fresh greens of new growth, it is a season of chickens hatching and lambs bouncing in fields.  Summer is all bright colours, we completely forget here in the UK just how many of our summer days are overcast and wet!  Winter is all about fresh crisp snow and (yawn) that red man day.  Autumn is all about the colours as the trees turn from green to gold with dashes of red and orange.  Last springs young are setting out on their own, foxes are pairing up and starting their families for next spring.

So in Autumn we have a colourful passage to death and decay with promise of new life developing from it.  We have acorns, mushrooms, autumn fruits and berries, dried crisp leaves in piles underfoot.  We seem to be more aware of the wild life around us, with rutting deer, nut gathering squirrels preparing for hibernation.  Gathering the fruits of the year and laying them down in a cool dark celler to feed us over winter.  And the colours rich and earthy warm colours surprising and delighting us.

Oh I would go on for hours about Autumn, couldn't you?  Instead I'll let this post card say it all.

Just 2 Clarity Stamps were inked for this, the image which has been coloured with Whisper Pens and the sentiment.  Both were stamped in Versafine Sepia.  The area where the image was stamped had first been dusted with DI Wild Honey.
