I made my living number crunching

A job that keeps you logical numbers are great fun to work with and they can be relied upon to give you the answer.   You can talk about creative accounting but 1 + 1 is always 2.  All very well but it does not leave a lot of room for artistic creativity.

I've always enjoyed my art and craft time and since retiring it has been obvious to me how much freer and more relaxed my style is.  Today a tag as come together on my craft table, it is a look back to the structured, disciplined days of work.

Umbrella man was the starting point this is a mini version from an exclusive QVC set many moons ago.  He is being showered in numbers which are also forming a puddle at his feet.   First of all stamped and masked  umbrella man and then stamped some of the big TH numbers, stamps I've not used before.  Then the smaller numbers from a calendar set were randomly stamped over the tag.  Sentiment from same mini TH set as were the ticket and the flight of birds heading off out of it!

Dusted over the tag with Squeezed Lemonade and Wild Honey and then worked on th edges with a distressing tool.  Card crumpled then Vintage Photo run over the distressed edge and some of the mountain folds.  The words Love and Life were added with a Tando stencil and Pretty Gets Gritty resist paste over which some texture powder and some Temple Stone ep sprinkled over.  Finally Umbrella man stamped again onto a card scrap, fussy cat and added with sticky pads.

  2. Wonderful! Love the tag, I saw it as man slightly overwhelmed with the burden of life and trying to make sense of it all. I am sure everyone will see it differently and that is the beauty of it all lol! Nicely done, thanks for sharing with us at Crafty Cardmakers 'TAG" challenge.
