Witches don't "do" Halloween

One side of me loves the fact that we still celebrate these old pagan traditions even if they have been twisted out of all recognition.  The other side regrets how commercial and disconnected they have become.  Then there is the fact that trick or treat is actually expecting a reward for menace.

In a few days we will have the other completely English celebration of Bonfire Night.  Children still sit in the street with their Guy's begging "penny for the guy".  Generally they have no idea what 5th November is all about or that they are re-enacting one of the goriest forms or execution ever dreamt up by human kind.

Annual rant over.

Here is something I struggled with for a few days but think finally I am happy with.

As is often the case this was inspired by more than one challenge.   The negative of a leaf die cut used as a mask.  DI in Shabby Shutter, Squeezed Lemonade and Festive Berry blended over the exposed area.   Rogue Redhead stamp of a delightful couple placed onto the same space and carefully "filled in" with grey I wanted the colour behind to show as they kinda fade into the sunset.   The same grey used to  underline parts of the leaf shape and ground it.   Still not happy as the leaf still looked like it was floating there without meaning the sentiment added with gold ep.

Challenges

Global Design Project - #264 CASE the designer.  It was the colours used that i have lifted.  Mine are not as strong has her's but that combination is fantastic.
