Something a little vintage

Looking for inspiration today I opened some boxes that are not usually turned to.  Lo and behold there was a fabulous stamp from La Blance that has never seen ink!  This stamp moved here with me and that was 10 years ago so it was probably acquired sometime in the last 15 - 10 years.

Well inspiration struck.

I think this makes a fabulous post card.   Image stamped in Versafine Clare Morning Mist.  A google search inspired the birds colouring which was done with my Whisper Pens as was the foliage.  Once complete some Squeezed Lemonade and Victorian Velvet were dusted round it to knock back the white.

Challenges that came to mind during the process:

Just Add Ink - #549 Choose two Feathers, Leaves & Petals.

Retro Rubber - #156 Pastels

Cardz 4 Guyz - #268 Use something new in your stash, this stamp is new in that it has never before been trimmed never mind inked! hope that will count.

Moving Along with the Times - #129 Animals/Birds

NBUS - #25 Anything Goes with Never Before Used Schtuff

  6. Very sweet! It does make a lovely postcard. I think the way you've added a soft dusting of colour around the edges really makes the design. Thanks for joining us at Retro Rubber Challenge.
