Oh goodness is it time for another challenge at Inspiration Station already? Yes it is and this one is fantastic. Just take a look at the inspiration picture with all that texture, those shapes and hot, Hot, HOT Summer colours
One look and I knew. Mind you there was some shopping to be done first. An embroidery ring, well the inner part of one anyway. And some fish fortunately Tando have the perfect chipboard plate of fish shapes that will fit back to back. I got 2 of the Tando chip boards for this. Everything else came from my Jewellery making stash.
First chain laid across the ring North/South and East/West connected where they cross with a jump ring. Next some cord that you might use for Kumihimo to Macramé wrapped around the ring to cover the cheap wood and also hold the chain in place.
The Chipboard with shapes still in place randomly painted with Imagination Crafts Starlight paints and left to dry. When ready the shapes were pushed out and attached back to back with fine jewellery thread becoming the filling in these fish sandwiches. There is one strand with 3 fish in the middle and eight on the outside each with 2 fish.
The hardest part of this project was finding a way to photograph it so you can see it in all it's mobile glory.
