First Monday of August the kid's are off school for the long summer holiday, and with restrictions of travel to many places we will probably see more visitors locally. The joys of living "at" the seaside, thankfully there are some lovely less well know spots to visit for a walk on the beach and no I'm not telling you where they are!
Today is also the start of a new challenge at Inspiration Station and we have a new picture to inspire you.
I fell in love with this picture but was stumped for ideas. The intention is to trigger your creativity in some/any form for you to then use that inspiration to create anything at all, just tell us what our picture inspired. Well my first idea was to do a wax crayon melt. It is something I've wanted to do for a long time and this seemed like the perfect opportunity.
Not to happy with the result kept me wondering what else this picture represented to me. Then it came to me.
We only see colour in the light, well we only see anything if there is light. Our best and most natural source of light the sun. So why shouldn't all the suns rays be coloured. In fact although we cannot see it the energy given off by the Sun, High Energy X rays, are multi-coloured. You can understand this better on the NASA site.
Maybe took me a little while but we got there. Hopefully you will find inspiration comes to you more easily, it certainly seemed to for my teamies at Inspiration Station.

Wonderful project Zoe! Your intrepretation of this challenge prompt is so creative but all of your designs are so creative. Thanks for another great team project for the Inspiration Station Challenge. Donna
ReplyDeleteI love that you made the sun have all the colors of the spectrum, Zoe! It's one of life's mysteries that we humans can only see what appears to NOT be present, rather than all the other colors, isn't it? Before you mentioned the scientific aspect, I immediately saw the challenge present in your creation with all those fabulous colors, the rainbow sun, and the roundness of their display! Beautiful! hugs, de
ReplyDeleteSuper fun project! I particularly love that sun! Nice interpretation of the challenge! Thanks so much for sharing your project with us at A Place To Start!

ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic way of looking at the summer sun Zoe. Of course we usually only see all those beautiful colours when they are refracted in a rainbow. Love the look of that fabulous hammock. Thank you for joining in with the Funkie Junkie Boutique challenge this time x
