When a resin pour goes wrong

At the weekend I had a play with some resin and moulds, using new to me Stamperia moulds which are much much shallower than the ones I am used to.  As a result to resin flowed all over the place and not one single element came out whole.   My guess now is that the mould is designed to be used as a single piece.

At first I was very disappointed but removing the resulting pieces an idea came to me, of course I had to put it to the test.

Starting point was to rub some different coloured waxes over the surface of the resin.   Having a sort out the other day I came across a wax pallet from way back when but they are still useable.  Knowing this was to be a journal page featuring the resin fragments the next decision was what to use with it.   More old stash provided some printed paper.  Printed paper is not something I use much and tearing it up is hard!  Did it though.

Elements sorted and arrangement decided coated the page with Gel Medium and popped things into it.   Thinking that something was still missing I turned to an old favourite "Temple Stone Enamel Powder" from Piccolo.  No idea if this is still available but for distressing and generally ageing/grunging things up.  Powder sprinkled onto the still wet Gel Medium and left alone for the gel to settle and then melted it.  The other thing I then noticed is the wonderful texture the Gel left on the page.

Now who might enjoy seeing this?
