First Sunday of the month, time for a new challenge at We Love Stamping. The challenge that celebrates stamping by making it the central focus of our projects and yours as well. We also have a fabulous prize for a random winner so everyone gets a chance and Brenda will send your prize to you anywhere in the world. This time there are 2 prizes of Rare Earth Stamps
Onto our theme this time ANYTHING GOES with the option of SPRING. This is my first project for We Love Stamping this month.
I'm back with another journal page. It's a journal because I could not conceive of a card that included all the elements I wanted. The Birds, Branch and Bird table came from different Creative Stamping and RSPB stamp sets. The blossom is from another magazine set with stamps and dies. The background stamps are by Pretty Gets Gritty.
First the stamping then some masking, more stamping and a distress ink colour blend over the page. Next the colouring with Chameleon Pens using a mix of their inbuilt blending and also colour mixing. I love the unique effects you can get with these pens. Then the feathers I've got a couple of packets of these that I dip into now and again. Blossom stamped, die cut and coloured with the same pens. Spring then on a journal page.
How does Spring look to you? Don't forget to share your stamped spring themed projects with us at We Love Stamping.
I thought some other challenges might enjoy my page.

A super take on the theme Zoe and two species who resider in our garden, we see so many Great Tits but the Bullfinches seem to be very private timid birds and only pop out now and then. I'm so hoping the weather soon gets the idea Spring is all but here, date wise anyway.

This is really lovely. You certainly took stamping to a whole new level. I don't stamp scenes often, but I think after seeing yours I should. I've also bookmarked We Love Stamping. ReplyDeleteThis is a stunning entry Zoe. I love it. Too bad I'm not a stamper because you have created a beautiful journal entry. Oh Zoe, I left a comment yesterday, but apparently it didn't go through. I don't normally return to visit a blog post, but I thought I would add about one of the birds. Seems NOTHING has taken. I am SO sorry. I appreciate your visit to Art Journal Journey using Valerie's theme.

Beautiful Spring page !!
ReplyDeleteThe Cherry Blossoms did it for me; remembering a Spring visit to Washington D.C. and the blooms were just ending, but SO pretty still.
The feather actually caught my eye; not ever really thinking on using feathers as a mixed media. Strange, how that just hit me, because feathers just scream "Spring is here!". You just made me notice and I thank you! I love learning new perspectives from other Crafters.
Thanks for sharing this with us at The Funkie Junkie Boutique Challenge Blog!
