SCD - Key

Saturday morning and play time! Will not bore you with the details but the past couple of work weeks had been shattering week-ends and getting inky are bright spots and so looked forward to at the moment!

Something Completely Different are looking for ATCs during February and the theme this week is keys. Perfect opportunity to use a stampbug set, the melt pot and a little metal + a new technique from Jennie at Artistic Stamper

Spread pvc glue onto base card and drop Alcohol ink into while wet, the ink spreads in the glue giving a wonderful back ground. For this atc I made the glue quite thick and lumpy. Mean while some multi-coloured UTEE heating in the melt pot on a piece of heat resist, non stick craft mat. Stampbug key stamped onto metal and cut out, matching stampbug lock over quote coated with black stayzon, molton UTEE pulled out of pot stamp placed in it (face down) and left to cool. Both key and UTEE attached to atc.

Off out this afternoon to meet a new friend the talented Lucy Edmondson we are going to play in her craft room with her toys, watch this space.

  1. What a great textural piece! I must try that alcohol ink and glue technique - or add it to the list of things to do at least. Hope you enjoy your play day.
