The lovely Linda Ledbetter very talanted light has decided we need some fun and an excuse to work on some of the techniques in the latest publication of 'THE BOOK'. For starters Linda directs us to page 35 and a nice gentle start. Great for peeps like me who need a nudge to actually try the various methods so thank you Linda, to see other entries follow this Link
DI Inks used Shabby Shutters, Spiced Marmalade, Rusty Hinge & Frayed Burlap. Music and faux stitching stamped in Brushed Corduroy, faux stitching also stamped in chipped sapphire. Water technique not one to use for detail but the compass makes a nice circular water mark and the features of the skull and the treble cleft have popped out nicely.
Faux stitching must be the third of 3 Skinnies for the 3rd swap that Hilda is hosting at Lots to do forum The 2nd and middle one does not have any stamping on it!

ReplyDeleteOoh, I LOVE your water stamping! What a cool creation, with the stitching and sheet music background! I especially like the Gothic touch with the skull. You ROCKED the Compendium Challenge! Thank you for playing along, and I hope you're back next week.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Linda

ReplyDeleteHi Zoe
ReplyDeleteThree lovely pieces of artwork, but my absolute favourite has to be the orange one with the wonderfull graduated colours and stitching - if had not told us it was faux, I'd have thought it for real.
