LTD New Home Swap

To celebrate the recent move of Lots to do Forum I'm hosting an altered art swap. Swappers are invited to make 3 somethings anything you fancy making altered bottle tops, beer mats, bookmarks, absolutly anything so long as your finished pieces have to do with A New Home. If you fancy joining in all you need do is joinup at the forum.

This piece was made using some of the tyvek that Hilda sent to me and one of the beer mats that Lesley sent. The beer mat is covered with a copy of an old, pre motorway, map that has been printed onto printable canvas. UTEE poured into a cookie cutter and the lolly sticks stuck in before it cooled. The flowers (Tanda stamsps) stamped onto tyvek that had already been coloured with distress inks, cut out and then heated. If heat is applied for long enough the material reacts like a plastic bag and disintegrates, with these pieces the heat was applied just long enough for it to start to twist and curl.

My other two swaps will have to wait Alter it monthly have a Home Sweet Home theme next month so I'm saving them for that.
