SCD - Flora and Fauna

Love the theme at Something Completely Different this week it's all about life 'Flora & Fauna'. Last week of the Skinnies for this time round they have been fun great size to work with.

Could not get to sleep last night too hot so wondered back down and got the brayer out. Glossy card Big and Juicy Spice using the shaft of light technique and Clarity stamps. Inked card and using the green end of the pad stamped the grasses in and out of the shaft of light and round the edges. A little of tan end on cotton wool along the bottom. Stamped the dragonfly in stayzon onto acatate and cut them out, one stuck flat onto the card with Diamond stickles. Bent the wings up on the second dragonfly, spread stickles over the whole sticking it down with just the body. Highlighted the plants with touches of White Inkssentials, Yellow and Green Sakura. All those extra wings shadows just adding to the sense of movement.

One of the challenges running at Gingersnaps is 1) Make a paper crafting or mixed media creation using transparency or acetate. Their overall theme for June is wings, this lazy hazy summer day is for them as well.
