Almost the end of February thats one sixth of the year gone already how did that happen! February has been a special month with the start of our new challenge Just for Fun. All month we have been looking at Wings for this week the prompt is Angel Wings.
For this shrine I painted the wooden base with black gesso. Stamped and embossed some metal shaped it to fit the back of the shrine and then worked it with the TSS tools, bit off center I'm afraid. The sides were stamped also stamped and embossed. The wings were cut with a sizzix die and attached with glossy accents round the edge. With the first layer alcohol ink dropped onto the GA but it blured the outline so the second set were popped on top. When the GA was dry went round the edge with gold pen.

The shrine was originaly brought so I could join in Alter it Monthly which this month is Shrines. Like to join in with this challege its just right for a not so cutie like me. Having so many surfaces to play with great fun. The outside doors were also given a covering of black gesso and then some Crackle Accents swirls and drops of alcohol inks. Then went over the top with Inca gold and a few sticky back gems. Finally stitched two sets of two buttons back to back and stuck them on as handles,
Hope you will join us at Just for fun with your angel wings,
Zoe, this was quite a job! That would have taken me a month to do that! great work.
ReplyDeleteI think you did great leaving some "white space" on youy other card. It can be hard! lol
I laughed at your comment on my blog about Chaos being the same as Lulu. Last time I took her to the vet, I had 7 bandaids on my arms! He asked if I wanted another home for her. Truth is, she is so mean and hates rodents even worse than me, so out in the country where I live, I need a mean caT! lol
Great blogspot you have, here.
Hugs, Pat
