Friendly plastic almost a bowl &

Finally got a chance to play with my FP today.   Two things especially appeal, the masks and the stunning bowls.   I also fell in love with the beads of FP you heat and colour yourself.   So today nothing was going to get in my way.   My bowl may not be very deep but I'm pleased with it.

Looks very flat here but you can see the different colours, lace work and ribbons I used.   The pale gold in the middle is the beads coloured with gold Perfect Pearls and gilding flakes.

I would like to scorch the fabric but am a bit concerned about melting the FP.

Realised two things this morning, 1 that the 'bowl' can be photographed on its side which might show it better.

2 and much more important.   The lace technique (holes in FP) that I used here was developed by Liz Welch, Liz's background is textiles and she initially wanted to stitch her FP to fabric hence the need for holes.   Watch Liz on C&C 27th (I think) for her latest development of this technique.

  13. Beautiful bowl Zoe, I love the irregular edges. Heat distressing the fabric can be done with a soldering iron.
