Just mucking around with ink and stamps

Oh and a bit of wire LOL

This little torso has been on my to do list for rather to long.  Finally yesterday it's turn came.   Painted the torso white Gesso and then using Big and Juicy inks stamped it with Creative Expression 'Vintage Sewing' and clear embossed it.   Then got to work on it with DI inks which wiped down to pastel shades, the clear EP resisting them entirely of course.    Used some back ground stamps given to me last year, with yet more DI, left to dry and then wiped off the EP.   After that the piece was given a blast of Glimmer Mist.   Do not know what is in that stuff but it rather knocks the colour out of anything already on the surface, so mopped and dried that then went back in with the DI base and re stamped the background stamps as well.

Using a wax candle rubbed areas of the top and bottom prior to painting them with Dauber Bottle Green.   Allowed that to dry and then wiped off the waxed areas, the wax being a paint resist.   Stuck a small pin cushion to the side of the base and then plaited some wire to make the hangers with.   Added a ribbon sash gave it all a coat of Mod Podge Gloss Luster and it is done.

The girls at Sparkles Forum Challenge are a great friendly bunch and this fortnight their theme is Anything Goes, so am entering this there.

The Stamp man also has a Resist Challenge this fortnight thought this fits that requirement as well.  LOL

Should I faint now or later? When you wrote the comment, I wondered, "Did she make a torso?" And, indeed, you did! Wow, I love all your techniques--and the pin cushion is brilliant! A beautiful creation, indeed.
    Don't you just love torsos?
