No it's not a conversion to the Less is More style, sorry Chrissie and Mandi but its still not really me. Using Acetate however is very much my thing so when Maria said that this weeks LIM challenge was to do just that well how could I resist?
The thing with Acetate cards is that you do not need to do a lot with them, the effect comes from an un-cluttered transparency with your image seemingly floating in midair. A single Tanda Art Deco lily on green card cut with a Nestie, a white ink-pad pressed onto the card before it was stamped and matching green ribbon across the width of the card and its done.
When making these just remember to stick a matching shape on the inside to write your message.

I love working with acetate too Zoe and thanks for the tip about matching the shape on the back, it's so obvious now ! All this time I've been trying to find ways of attaching embellishments without it showing on the other side !

I see you went and did it then ! Couldn't have a nice lie down after that long journey. Great card and love the shape and that gorgeous stamp you used.

Beautiful card, I love acetate, too! Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteYes, very different for you Zoe, the acetate card body looks great!
ReplyDeleteIs the panel textured? It has made the stamped image looked distressed, maybe that's the look you wanted?
Acetate is cool!
Thanks for entering Have a good week
