Recycling

Happy Easter everyone, hope you have been using lots of sun protection this weather is wonderful but always surprises me how we get do warm so quickly!

Still time to have a little play indoors as well.   With Friday being Earth Day there are a couple of challenges this week bang on theme with up-cycling or recycling.   The first are my old teamies at Try it on Tuesday had to pop back and join in with this peeps great to see all your fabulous samples and so many players way to go.

Another Recycling challenge that caught my eye is with Moving Along with the times.   They have some interesting samples there as well.

I started with some Mount board waste usually cheap if not free from your local framer.   A scrap of paper I've swiped a brayer over before using it on a project, the acetate top off some packaging and one of those plastic nets you get fruit in.

This is the hanging I finished with.   Along the way added some string (it was on a parcel sent to me recently) more  packaging tops more of my paper scraps and some kitchen towel use this to mop up it was then run through the Bigshot with the TH butterfly die.  The beads have just been in my stash for years but were new!

The acetate packaging cut with a Sizzix flower die and then coloured with AI.   The flowers were then blasted with a heat gun.   Von shared this technique with me a while ago the acetate moves, crumples and folds making interesting shapes.   They look a bit dark here but are more transparent irl.   The other acetate packaging was used to cut the butterfly wings and overlays the kitchen towel, otherwise those wings would just flop not such a good look really.

Just a bit of recycling fun thanks Try it on Tuesday and Moving along with the Times for the challenge.
