Well it is a bit bright! This fortnight's Tanda Teaser is Retro!
Remember the late 1960's and flower power oh you were there LOL. Truth to tell in the main the girls saw it as a time to dress up in bright floral prints and the boys felt free to do pretty much the same. Being just a bit to young my memories are of looking on in admiration and a deep yearning to own one of the cow bells the girls wore as pendants!
So retro 1968 the summer of flower power it is. The orange background is acrylic waste from the sunflower frame a little while ago. The card is papermaina brayered with Kaleidacolor 'calypso'. Where the brayer ran on and off the card and onto waste it lift lots of lovely coloured paper. Stamped this with Tanda flowers which were cut out and attached to card.
Peace and love

These flowers and all the gorgeous colours here remind me of the same type that were painted on a local VW van many moons ago (erm.....when I was growing up LOL!!!!!). I used to love seeing that van pass by - so happy looking, just like this card of yours is :-)

ReplyDeleteI love this Zoe, it just makes me feel happy! It took me right back in time, it's a fab, groovy entry for the challenge. The mention of the cowbells round the neck made me laugh out loud, I had one! Mind you I was only 14 at the time but remember wearing one at my Saturday morning at 'The Macca'.....ooooo happy days! xxx

It's wonderful! I love the beautiful colours. I was only a toddler at the time, but I had a toy Mary Quant style handbag when I was about five that was very similar - and a rain mac!
ReplyDeleteI love the bright colours Zoe, like you I can only really remember looking on at the "bigger" girls dressed in their bright colours and longing to be able to join in ........
ReplyDeleteHugs Jackie x
