CRAFT-ROOM CHALLENGE, finally our team are all in place and we are cooking on gas. Today sees the start of our challenge's each Challenge will last for two weeks closing at 8pm (UK Time) on the second Monday following. We will have a randomly drawn winner for each challege and they will receive £10 (excludes postage) to spend at Craft-Room online shop. The winner will be announced on the following Tuesday, together with the teams top 3.
While we are finding our find our feet to start us off we have an easy challenge for you all with a theme of Anything goes.
For this art board piece the background is thick high gloss card splattered with Alcohol inks. The new Tando Scallop nested sets both square and rectangle have been distressed with lots of Distress Ink and arranged over the board. Having decided on the layout Clarity stamps where used in the framed spaces. Stamped in various colours of stayzon, all but the Masai and sun are block stamps. The Masai and sun was coloured with new Marvy La Plume permanent pens. Not that impressed with these pens they have a single end with quite a wide round 'brush' give good coverage over alcohol inks and against the stayzon ink but the size of the brush means they will not be useful for small fiddly areas.
The stamped images were highlighted with gold leaf pen. Frames touched with Inca Gold for highlights and linked together with brads. Some fiber threaded through a buckle style brad used at to link the top pair. Edges of back panel swiped with Vintage Photo DI and frames glued in place. To get the panel to stand on its own one of Clarity's handles has been stuck to the back, finally a use for those handles!
All the new team have different styles and have taken very different approaches to the challenge. We welcome crafters of all styles please pop over to Craft-Room Challenge to see what the fabulous team have created and join in yourselves.
