Anything but a card

When ever the challenge theme is Anything but a Card I get a bit excited and carried away!   I enjoy making cards especially for a special person or occasion when you make it very personal and special.    Thing is you don't want to be making cards all the time do you?   Of course there are always Tags, ATCs, Bookmarks and the like and they are fun.   still its good to do something else now and again or at the drop of the slightest excuse!

It is Sentimental Sunday whose's challenge this week is anything but a card, the team are sharing some great samples worth a look.   This is a paper mache mask that has been painted, gesso base Viva Inca Gold in gold, copper and green.   Sprayed with Glimmer Mist and then Inca Gold retouched.   Stamped with Brown Stayzon and then again in gold and heat embossed.   Next the wires were cut and added as whiskers.    Red Inca Gold around the eye sockets.   Lines of PVA glue following the stripes often seen on tabby cats, Alcohol in dripped onto the wet glue and left to dry, the ink ran off the glue in places creating more stripes in a natural looking way.    Self adhesive gems around the lower eye sockets and in curves around the face.   Finally more Red Inca Gold dabbed through sequin waste randomly over the face.
