Its duckling season on water ways all over the land there are waterbirds bring their broods to fledgling. Pictures of mother duck or swan or coot serenely padding away followed by their fluffy offspring being published and causing an outbreak of smiles. Well this wet weather we are currently on the receiving end of must be more welcome to them.
Hay ho the rain kept me indoors, again. The latest Gingersnap challenge is Bagging and Tagging some stunning samples to be seen on the site. For my entry i used a very smart bag from the hairdresser, strong sturdy and covered with adverts for hair products. It has been covered with HOTP paper and then handmade paper with embedded leaves. A strip of lace across the middle and a couple of green tissue mats cut with the Nellie die. The TH winged heart was used to cut a couple of flattened beer cans that were used shiny side up. Alcohol inks colour the heart shapes but the wings and crown were left as they were. Some florist wire has been shaped and links the two hearts.
The tag is two layers of the same Nellie die the top one cut from the paper used to cover the bag. Another beer can heart treated in the same way as the ones on the bag. The reverse of the bag covered in the same way but not embellished. All that is needed now is a special present for a special person to go into this special bag.

Love the way the green stands out above everything else (but then again I would, wouldn't I!!). Fab idea to use a strudy bag, looks like it gave you a good base to work with. Love the use of the wire swirls, very classy.
