After two weeks of beautiful Summer Birthday cards it is time for a new challenge at Craft-Room Challenge. This time the theme has been chosen by Debi who as a New Zealander is in the depth of winter and dreaming of Summer.
Debi was inspired by these words and the Butterfly project "The Butterfly's attractiveness derives not only from colours and symmetry: deeper motives contribute to it. We would not think them so beautiful if they did not fly, or if they flew straight and briskly like bees, or if they stung, or above all if they did not enact the perturbing mystery of metamorphosis: the latter assumes in our eyes the value of a badly decoded message, a symbol, a sign."
You might like to check this out and if you are interested send a butterfly of your own.
For my sample this week a paper mache torso has been coloured with various DI inks and then stamped and embossed with Andy Skinner stamps finally a spray of gold Spray and Sparkle. The Acetate Butterfly's that have landed on the torso are all gold embosses using Andy's Batik Garden set.
If it were Minx investigating this i would understand Minx collects butterfly's LOL Izhe who is in the picture is just jealous of the torso or anything else that gets my attention.
The girls have all made wonderful and inspiring samples using butterflies as their inspiration and theme if you like what you see please tell them and share you own creation with us at Craft-Room Challenge. There is also a £10 voucher for our sponsor Craft-Room up for grabs in the random draw but check the rules to see how to qualify.
