Some days things just fall into place, and after an extra dull day yesterday finding these two challenge's gave me the opportunity to do something I've been thinking of for a while.
The first Challenge, Daring Cardmakers, sends us on a journey of inspiration using Pinterest to find our muse. It's an interesting place full of inspiration boards put together by various people. While browsing came across images inspired by Piet Mondrian. His clean geometrical blocks of colour, most notable in primary colours, are very attractive and for a while now it has been in my mind to make a card in this style.
Thinking about colours reminded me of this week's Play Date Cafe colour challenge with glorious juicy colours. The colours they list are Orangesicle, Fuchsia, and Eggplant. Went rummaging in my Pro Markers box for suitable replacements and used Orange, Aubergine and Pink Carnation over Orchid. Hope these are acceptable replacements.
