Well after a dull start Saturday turned out nice! Shame it was wet all week. What will the weather hold today for Silverstone? Rooting for Mr. Di Rosi who has driven himself into the top 10 on the grid.
Think the La Blanche stamp I used on this card is designed to evoke a pre car era. The image always puts me in mind of black beauty, but black would be to harsh to ink it in. I have used Versafine Vintage Sepia and then water-colour pencils to add a little more depth. I've been a fan of these foam backed stamps for a long time now the amount of detail and excellent image really appeals.
First off this is for Less is More, it is one layer week and the comedienne's who host the challenge and set our tasks have asked for things with legs as the image. It has been noted that just a head or chair back will be accepted but here you ask for legs you get legs, 8 of them!
Also entering this into Catch the Bug whose theme this week is Clean and Simple.

ReplyDeleteHi Zoe, just catching up as I have been poorly this week and was actually in bed all day Friday - just not like me at all.
ReplyDeleteLove your Tando book cover, I have been over to see your tutorial and I must have a go at the shaving foam at some time - trouble is Ken has a beard so there's none in the house!!!
Fabulous steampunk card, inspirational the wings on the bicycle and great elements you have added to it.
As for your one layer, what a gorgeous image, and I agree La Blanche stamps are brilliant.

Beautiful card! What a fabulous stamp, and using the brown ink has given it a vintage feel. Your mention of Black beauty brought back memories of lots of horsey TV programmes around in the seventies - Thunderfoot, Black beauty, moonlight stallion - are you singing the theme tunes yet?!

ReplyDeleteSuper images... bonus having 8 legs... reminds me of the game we used to play with the kids on long car journeys, counting the number of legs from the pub signs.... I always hoped to come across a Coach and Horses!
