Got to have a little inky play yesterday felt like an age, a lot of the things we shared last week had been made in advance we all do that don't we.
Every Saturday Chrissie and Mandi give us a new challenge and a new challenge so stamps inks and what ever else out, time to play. This week the challenge is to use your nation's flag colours. The thing with living on this island is that we English, Scottish, Walsh have our own national flags which have also been combined into another flag to signify the United Kingdom. Being a bit of a mongrel I usually refer to myself at British rather than English.
The rose is a Penny Black brush mark image coloured this time with Whisper Pens in red and blue onto white card stock. The little sentiment is also stamped in red. The ribbon with the Union Jack on it came from a quilters shop in Chichester. Local's like Chrissie and Mandi will know the shop I mean, so here then is my Red White and Blue entry for Less is More.
Thought I'd share this with the Tanda Teaser as well Sue has challenged us all to use Ribbon's and Bow's. Tanda made the sentiment up for me a little while ago.

Love the rose and your flag! I always wondered that about the British vs English. Have a wonderful Sunday. Hugs, Kim

The English rose!
ReplyDeleteSuper idea Zoe and actually I didn't know there was a quilting shop in Chichester... I have only done a couple of patchwork items and I got the fabric for those in Romsey!
I'm impressed that you had Union Jack ribbon amongst your crafting stash!
Thanks so much
