Craft-Room Challenge - For a Man

About 30 years ago my x had a second hand book shop, he used to get all sorts of things including this lovely old ledger recording the account of Joseph Hawley Bart.'s horses and carriage stabling and maintenance 1863 - 1869.   Every so often on the pages there is an Inland Revenue stamp to the value of 1d.

When the water colour board was finished seemed keeping it in the book was a fun idea.

The water colour board was first sprayed with Glimmer Mist Marshmallow (white).    Indigo Blu stamps for the Man, the quote and domed tower, the zeppelin is by Creative Expression and the Ravens from an un-named set.    All were stamped in black or different shades of gray.   Blue/Gray distress stain, Weathered Wood, highlights the quote.   The man stamped again onto Glossy card as were the birds both raised off the board with silicon glue.

Clearly the man is a traveler who has collected  souvenir's and is keeping them in a safe place.   Part of the book has been hollowed out the page edges wrapped with tissue tape and the board stuck behind.   Embellished with film strip, two metal charms and a piece of sea glass.    All of these are shades of gray.

At Craft-Room Challenge this week Mervi has asked us to make something for a man, the team as always have produced fabulous samples please do check them out.   Have you seen our great Treasure Hunt its easy to join in and there is a great rubber stamp plate to be won
