Tando Creative Colour Challenge

All this month at Tando Creative we have had a colour challenge and each week on the Tando Creative site there has been some fantastic samples to inspire you.   This week it is the turn of Joanne and me to share our takes on these shades of blue and brown.

I was a little stumped by the combination of Blue and Brown until unpacking after the move found and remembered some wool ribbon from a charity shop. The ribbon has been wound around the front of a Tando wavy edge square frame.   Also in my boxes of tricks some die cuts on painted paper in shades of blue and brown given to me by a blog-land friend.   The row of houses fits the frame perfectly with an old sweet wrapper behind them to accent the shape.

The backboard of the Tando frame has been covered with Paper Perfect 'blue dream'.   When the paper paste was dry it was sprayed with blue Glimmer Mist.   Patches of frame showing through the ribbon were covered with Viva Ferro Paste.   The wire secures the frame to the backboard.    Tando Clouds coloured with Distress Stain, the bird is another die cut from my friend.

The legs of the frame were also coloured with distress stain and sprayed with Glimmer mist finally the sides and edges coloured with copper coloured paint.   Perfect pearls sprinkled over wet Viva paste, metal butterfly pushed into the paste in the corner and Perfect pearls sprinkled there.

So far from being clueless the first piece of art made in my new home has turned out rather well.   Yes first I've had to sit on this for a few weeks!

It is not to late to join the Tando Creative Challenge which runs to the end of the month, there have been some fabulous entries so far and with great Tando prizes to choose it certainly worth joining in.

Thought I'd share this with:
