I've been enjoying the Fashionable Stamping Challenges, a little grungy a little shabby chic and a little bit altered art. The current fortnight is half way through but with other things it took me until Sunday to work on this.
The Challenge is Dressmaking/Corsets/Accessories. This door hanger box cried out to me a little while ago demanding to be altered. For the first part the back has been covered with fabric.
Then the back piece from the front patterned paper glued on and cut to fit. Some yellow card measured to fit around the box part. For the front I used Tanda's fabulous vintage sewing machine, you can find this stamp here. Stamped in Memento and then coloured with Pro Markers.
The sides were stamped with Creative Expressions Vintage Sewing and coloured with ProMarkers. The TH dress form die cut was from a blogland friend. A little piece of TH tape measure ribbon, some lace and buttons a needle threaded with red cotton just appeared and had to be added.
Just about completed my Christmas makes and looking forward to playing around with inks and stuff. Perhaps not alone in this as Totally Paper Crafts are asking us to share Anything but Christmas and so is the Corrosive Challenge. This is my second entry to Cooking it up with Katie where it is anything goes until the new year, limited to three entries per person.
