Felt like not a lot got done yesterday it was just one of those nice chilled kinda days, how was yours?
Did check the Less is More challenge and found a sketch this week. A very simple vertical stripe on a landscape card. Got out my new tin of Artquest faux lace and tried it out. three strips of the tape but not rubbed quite properly as it did not break down. Used the mica flakes and glitter finishing off with some gilding flakes already in my craft room. A little stamping in lighting black and it was done. Really rather like the result of the different mediums on the tape.

This is a really interesting effect Zoe... even after reading your description I'm still intrigued! I haven't heard of Artquest faux lace... I think I should investigate.
ReplyDeleteSuper job!

Zoe, I always seem to learn about some completely new technique or product when I visit ... and then when I see how YOU use this unknown to me concept ... I REALLY want to try for myself!
ReplyDeleteWonderful!
I've used double sided tape and glitter to create "faux lace" but not familiar with this - may have to investigate too
ReplyDeleteYour card is lush

Beautiful card, Zoe! I love gilding flakes, and you have got some fab colours here! Is that faux lace anything like the webbing stuff?
ReplyDeleteNot heard of faux lace before, but the colours look great, and it's nice to see different techniques.
