Craft-Room Shabby Vintage

Thank you all for the fabulous entries to the previous challenge at Craft-Room Challenge, it was the last one sponsored by Craft-Room on line shop.  There is not a lot of stock left at the shop now and what there is, is 50% off, the shop will cease trading completely on the 31st.

We have a fabulous group of sponsors going forward starting this fortnight with Crafty Individuals.   Thank you Jean and Malcolm.

The challenge this time is the responsibility of the terrific Mervi who has asked for Shabby Vintage.    My oriental theme came about after choosing the beautiful Crafty Individuals vintage image of the beautiful Japanese lady.    The latest thing to use in paper crafting seems to be Washi Tape, not (yet) having any I used a sheet of origami paper and some ds tape to improvise.   Mulberry paper and vellum give more layers and textures in shades of yellow to compliment the brown ink and base card.   DI's blended over helping distress the paper and tape edges.   Because of the oriental them I added a little Mizuhiki knot and some small paper flowers to suggest fallen blossom.

As is so often the way the team have come up with Shabby Vintage samples that really put me to shame please take a look and maybe visit them with a comment.   While you are there we would love to see your ideas.    Don't forget there is a fantastic prize to be won from our sponsor this fortnight Crafty Individuals

  9. This is gorgeous Zoe, I love the oriental image and how the flowers flow from it (that knot is really cool!). I really admire how you use texture so perfectly in your creations - it's something which I really struggle with. It's beautiful.

  10. Love this Zoe, the colours are so fresh and spring like. I adore things that are unusual, and this is so different from the rest of the DT samples, it really stands out for the right reasons. I love how your mind interprets things, can't wait to see what you are doing with the computer innards!! Julia xxxx
