What a glorious week-end the colours of the sky as sun went down inspired the background for this page. A page for a book I'm making for myself. It has a cover that I'll share another time and now a page. Journals have become very popular in the last couple of years, not feeling the urge to express myself in words I'm making picture pages on a when and as the mood strikes basis.
For this page once the colours were in my head it was distress inks to paper. Over stamped with the net from Rogue Redhead and the seed heads from Eco Stamps. Then the page was run through an embossing folder with the balloons, the embossing highlighted with a swipe of an inkpad. A nestie cut mat coloured with the same background inks and then stamped with the dress makers birdhouse Eco stamp. Some of my favourite cotton lace stuck down the side and the nestie layered over it. Part of a vintage earring with a pretty green gem on it. Threaded some flower shaped buttons with green ribbon and added them at the bottom.
Decided to share this with one or two challenges
The Stamp Man - Vintage theme
Fashionable Stamping - Bingo Metal, Distress & Vintage. or Lace, Distress & Buttons
Gingerloft - Spring
Ippity - Things with wings, that fly, things in the air
2 Sisters - spring colours
Crazy 4 Challenges - Use Spring as your inspiration
After all the glorious weather this week-end can you believe that snow is forecast for the next 3 days!

A lovely page Zoe, what a good idea to make a journal of picture pages, writing stuff down is not my style either which has put me off journals but I may steal your idea !
