That's the challenge Chrissie, Florence, Janet and Sandra set themselves and shared with the rest of us at Out of the Hat. It is already their 5th challenge and the first one I've had time to join in with!
An arch that could be fun perhaps made using some more that the recycled plastic? Ummm then there's that £1 shop frame still waiting to be altered. What about those corrugated card hearts and the tattered floral fabric flower in the Left Overs Box? Some thick white card cut down to fit the frame as an arch. Then after about 3 hours sorting shredded plastic into green's, black's and blue's and bright coloured granules stuck various elements onto the card which had been stuck to the frame. Had intended to gild the rest of the wooden frame but .....
Next morning looked at it again and decided to create an image to go into the frame and then flow out a little. Hero Arts Bird stamped onto card that was then embossed with a new (to me) folder. Coloured over the card with Adirondack dye inks and the brushes, this highlights the embossing. Some more card embossed with just the butterflies, which were cut out. Floral embossing and butterflies coloured with La Plume solvent pens. Frame and images assembled finally some paper flowers added at the bottom. The embossing was important as that is this fortnights Fashionable stamping challenge!
Other challenge's I'd like to share this with
Hiding in my craft room - Spring Showers bring ... Hand made flowers
Just Some Lines - Give a gift of Flowers
Our Creative Corner - Butterflies and why you are inspired by them. Amazing creatures so fragile looking yet so beautiful. There is a species that flies the length of North America that takes great strength so much for fragile. Then there is their amazing transformation from Caterpillar to butterfly fascinating and inspiring all in its-self.
right food shopping and then a report on 'The Bribery Act (2010)' Gripping stuff but the board need to be aware of it and ensure the business complies.
Enjoy your Sunday.
