Didn't get to play at Flying Unicorn last month it seemed all the challenges were scrapbook ones, well it is a scrappers group. This month there are some more open formats including a Steampunk one, oh goodie.
The base is a watercolour board, coloured with Adirondack inks. Stamped with Adirondack Expresso. Glossy card run through the Big Shot in an embossing folder and coloured with Alcohol inks. Some stripped corrugated card die cut into cogs and coloured with Glimmer Mists add layer and texture while vintage seed pearls and a K & Co topper add the elegance we expect with Steampunk. There is a watch part stuck in there somewhere.
Noticed that Crafting when we can have a challenge this fortnight of things with wings, fancy the airplane qualifies. Creative Craft World are look at projects with a blue theme this month. By the Cute and Girly this month have the prompt 'Once upon a time' screams steampunk to me Victorian Sci-Fi/Fantasy what more of a fairy story can you want?

ReplyDeleteBrilliant Zoe, I have just got that embossing folder, it's rather nice isn't it? Love how you have used the inks and misters to create such a subtle elegant colour combo. Fantastic background, I'm going to trying more of this type of technique. Julia xxxx
