Its very black and white

Hello! yep I'm still here just had quite a lot work wise and gall stone that has been less than joyful.    Pain under control now, work not so much but have been having a little play today.

The Saturday list sparked this card with two challenges both calling for Black & White.   One Challenge is Allsorts,  another is Suger Creek Hollow.

Using super smooth card and then some black and white Anne Griffin offset as a base mat.   Some sheer black ribbon ruched down the folded edge and black paper and white vellum die cut make a panel with the black pushing the pattern on the vellum into view.  An Aspects of Design stamp stamped and embossed with black ep then carefully cut out creates the torn effect topper.   Rather than distress the edges of the card a Fiskers stamp used over the edge.  Finally two butterflies cut with a Marianne die.

Not very inky perhaps but certainly got me in the grove.

Right the cats are all looking at me and licking their lips! think I'd better go and feed them.

  3. Zoe this piece is so cool! I feel as if I could reach out and touch the dragonfly!

I'm sending hugs and wishes for quick gall stone relief ... my boss had some troubles in this area ... it was terrible for her and finally resulted in surgery. I'm crossing fingers toes and everything that your experience is much, MUCH better than hers. :)

  10. Hello Zoe

Sorry your are suffering, do hope it's calmed down a little.

A fabulous card, as might guess I love everything about it, so clever how you have combined the different patterns which all look as though they were meant for each other. Then those butterflies finish it perfectly for me.

Thanks so much for joining in with our Black and White them at Allsorts this week.
