Foot stool

It was hissing down this morning, so decided to have a day at home, and of course, some of the time the sun came out.    Then there was the European FI and at the beginning at least the chance of yet another winner.   Well that didn't happen, that nice Spanish driver Alonzo won his second race of the season.   To say it was not a race with out excitement (and disappointment) would be a complete untruth.

Last week-end at Lidl I picked up a flat pack footstool with the intention of altering it.   Bad weather always give the opportunity to get the paint out and play.

Having put the stool together it was first given a coat of Black Gesso, then when that was dry roughly painted with cream acrylic which was topped with White Gesso.   Some glimmer mists sprayed and rubbed into the paint to knock it back.    A page of music torn and stuck on top, TH tissue tape placed around the edge.

Then the fun started, Flowers and Butterflies stamped with Momento and coloured with La Plume solvent pens and the grass added in freehand.   The stamping and colouring went on over the top and both sides of the 'legs'.

And all the pictures, well I'm really pleased with this which can only get better as it becomes more aged and battered.  So despite the mis-fortunes of Mr Hamilton and Mr Button, Mr Di Resta did quite well and this was a good Sunday.  Shush I've no idea about the football ........
