Flaming June!
First Wednesday of the month, it's the start of a new challenge at Tando Creative. These challenges can be just a little different and we are seeing some sensational entries quite right to because the prizes are pretty good as well.
For June Karen has chosen using Fabric as the theme. Now for those of you who know what to do with a needle and thread or even a machine it's easy. Some of us were told at a very impressionable age that we could not sew and continue to believe this simple fact. Starting with a 7" circle of thick card I've covered it with some cotton fabric. Indigo blu images have been stamped onto Artists Transfer Paper, coloured and then ironed onto the fabric.
Tando Creative Sew Simple Set and a couple of button's from a button grab bag. The dress form shape was simple stamped with Flitter glue and then covered with silver/pink gilding flakes, the leg was coloured and then covered with glossy accents, dress like this I think even the plain board looks pretty good. The sewing machine and cotton reel were simply coloured with paint and spray. The buttons were coloured with brilliance inks and then heat embossed to add texture. Finally a little brown lace around the edge and my new sewing fabric wall hanging was complete.
Now are you all reaching for your fabric stash? I hope so 'cause we are looking forward to seeing your entries at Tando Creative Challenge.
