First of June and summer is here! Well so it seemed for the last week of May here in GB, given that we have a very special long week-end fingers crossed the good weather continues. Over at Unruly it's the start of a fresh issue looking at things botanical with lots of inspiring articles playing with the theme.
As always there are 2 Reader Art Quests which we love to have you join in with, the winners of these are selected by your votes not by the team. The theme of this the first one is 'Spring Thing' think of all the glorious buds of spring.
So many flowers to choose and believe me there were a lot of stamps to choose from. Opted for a bunch of dafs. A popular and traditional British Spring bloom, from Wordsworth's 'When all at once I saw a crowd, A host, of golden daffodils;..' to our modern cultivated varieties that bloom in gardens and in roundabouts and grass verges up and down the island. Stamped these in Green Versafine on ultra smooth car and coloured them with water soluble wax pastels. Repeated three times to create a 3D decoupage topper. Added the bee because they are just wonderful garden friends.
You know you have Spring Things just waiting for you to use them, now is an excellent time, so please join the fun at Unruly PaperArts.
